Intellectual property professionals receive an update on USPTO
PHILADELPHIA (April 2018) – Panitch Schwarze partner John Simmons, who also serves as president of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Association (PIPLA), is proud to announce that the organization’s April meeting featured speaker Andrew Hirschfield, the Commissioner of Patents for the United States Patent and Trademark office.
During the final substantive PIPLA meeting of the current board term, Hirschfield provided members with a positive status update on patents and the office. The meeting also included a networking session for members and peers in attendance.
PIPLA is an organization of Intellectual Property lawyers and law student affiliates primarily in the Greater Philadelphia area including the Philadelphia surrounding counties, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. PIPLA promotes the development and understanding of Intellectual Property Law through regular meetings and sponsored CLE opportunities.
