Leonid Kravets focuses his practice on patent prosecution and intellectual property transactional law, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, preparing patentability and infringement opinions, conducting intellectual property due diligence investigations and providing litigation support for patent cases. His practice is concentrated in the electrical and computer technologies, including all phases of electronics, computer hardware and software, Internet technologies, targeted marketing and computer-implemented business methods.
Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, Mr. Kravets was a patent agent and senior consultant at a leading patent consultancy, where he identified, evaluated and prosecuted patent portfolios in a wide range of technological areas. He was also a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications in Art Unit 2189 (Computer architecture). Mr. Kravets has been granted a U.S. patent and is an inventor on numerous pending patent applications.
Mr. Kravets received dual B.S. degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He received his J.D. cum laude from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, graduating from the evening program in three and a half years instead of the usual four while working full-time as a patent agent.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
