LugBug SharkTank scene

PHILADELPHIA (December 2018) – Panitch Schwarze congratulates its client LugBug on being featured on ABC’s Shark Tank. The LugBug Handle is an attachment for baby carriers that allows better range of motion for parents and caregivers. LugBug’s creator, Nathan Day, presented his invention to the Sharks on the Oct. 8 episode of season 10 of the popular program.

Baby carriers can cause strain-related injuries, chronic pain, and even accidental drops. The LugBug handle was born out of a need to alleviate these problems. As Shark Robert Herjavec demonstrated while using the Lug Bug to carry his infant twins, the product has a unique ergonomic design that promotes a more neutral wrist posture that reduces tension, decreases lifting effort, and increases grip stability. The handle is made using eco-friendly materials and ethical manufacturing.

Panitch Schwarze attorneys were responsible for preparing and prosecuting the patents for the LugBug Handle. The patent team included partner Clark Jablon and associate Ragi A.I. Elias. Trademark attorney Bridget Labutta counseled the client on establishing and protecting trademark rights for the product.
