PHILADELPHIA (September 2024) – Intellectual property law firm Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is pleased to announce that Julianna L. Hunt has joined the firm as an associate. Hunt utilizes her firsthand experience with the legal needs of startup tech companies to secure the best possible protection for clients’ intellectual property.
“We are happy to welcome Julianna back to Panitch Schwarze after serving the firm well as a summer associate,” said Panitch Schwarze partner Travis W. Bliss, Ph.D. “As a law student, she immersed herself in IP law and gained valuable experience in the tech sector. We know she will be an asset to our clients as she works with our experienced IP attorneys to help clients build their patent portfolios.”
Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze, Hunt served as a legal assistant at a startup software company. She helped the company form and implement its first compliance program, assisted in its international expansion and corporate formation in Ireland, managed all contracts and business agreements, facilitated the company’s achievement of its clinical and regulatory certification from the FDA, and engaged with the software scientists and legal team to expand the company’s patent and intellectual property portfolio.
As a student at Temple University Beasley School of Law, Hunt was active in the intellectual property space, participating in the school’s Intellectual Property Moot Court Team and Intellectual Property Law Society. She augmented her legal studies through Temple Law’s Study Abroad Summer Program, where she studied international sports law and international civil litigation in Rome, Italy.
“I am thrilled to return to Panitch Schwarze to help clients navigate the IP and patent procurement process,” said Hunt. “Having been on the inside of a growing company, I know the vital role intellectual property plays in the success of today’s businesses, and I am excited to help our clients protect their valuable assets.”
Prior to earning her law degree, Hunt earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Drexel University and served as a clinical research assistant at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System. She also earned a master’s degree in legal studies from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she focused her studies on pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory compliance.
