PHILADELPHIA (April 12, 2012) – Panitch Schwarze partner, Alan Nadel, will be discussing “The Human Blueprint Up For Sale? The Ethics of Patenting the Human Genome and other Materials of Nature under US Law and Jewish Ethics” on April 24 at the firm in Philadelphia, Pa. The session will explore the concept of patenting an abstraction from the law of nature and its legal and ethical implications. Mr. Nadel will be speaking with Rabbi Mordechai Becher, an International scholar and author on Jewish law and ethics.

Nadel is one of the founding partners of the firm. He has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of patent matters involving bioscience, chemical and mechanical inventions, including patent preparation, prosecution, licensing and litigation.
