Panitch Schwarze partners Stephen E. Murray and Erin M. Dunston recently weighed in on the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s newly created Deferred Subject Matter Eligibility Response Pilot Program. This program allows patent applicants to defer submitting claim amendments or substantive arguments related to eligibility rejections and is intended to improve examination efficiency.
