Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, LLP strives to promote and bring awareness to workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we constantly take steps to grow and evaluate our recruiting and interviewing procedures, workplace policies and practices, and overall firm culture in order to achieve that ongoing goal.
Recent and ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives:
- Maintain a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee, composed of diverse members from staff to managing partners.
- Developed a gender-neutral parental leave policy.
- Equalized employee benefits for administrative and technical/legal employees.
- Recruit from diverse law schools and job boards to find candidates for open roles and leadership roles within the firm.
- Attend the DSBA Delaware Diversity Job Fair and other diversity-based job fairs annually.
- Engage all leadership and employees in unconscious bias training, and diversity training annually.
- Engage all employees in Allyship training every other year.
- Engage all employees in harassment prevention training annually.
- Provide floating holidays, flex time and personal time that employees may use for the multitude of religious observances.
- Use each month to discuss ongoing diversity initivies and topics through a diversity calendar and newsletter entitled Panitch Schwarze Inclusive Insights.
