Details: Panitch Schwarze attorney Steven D. Lustig will speak at the International Trademark Association (INTA)’s 2024 Annual Meeting. He will participate in a Breakfast Table Topic titled “The Trademark Modernization Act: A Practical Guide to Drafting Petitions for Expungement and Reexamination.”
Lustig will provide tips on how to navigate the new rules for trademark prosecution and maintenance that were implemented under the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) Trademark Modernization Act, which went into effect in 2021. The discussion will focus on important considerations for beginning the process of expungement and reexamination.
With over 20 years of experience, Lustig’s practice focuses on all aspects of trademark law – from due diligence to enforcement. His international clientele ranges from individuals to large multinational companies. While his practice is in every commercial area, he is particularly experienced in the automotive, pharmaceutical, apparel, and technology industries.
