Panitch Schwarze is pleased to welcome Sam Steiger to the firm as a summer associate. Currently a student at Cornell Law School, Sam is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. While at Panitch Schwarze, Sam will focus on patent prosecution related to the chemical arts.
Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze, Mr. Steiger was employed as a quality engineer at tire manufacturer Michelin Tires, where he troubleshot process issues and guided manufacturing operators. Prior to his work at Michelin, Sam was employed as a chemical engineer at Vantage Oleochemicals, a chemical manufacturer, where he created software for the engineering group, worked on process improvements, and performed safety compliance work.
Sam will get to know the Panitch Schwarze team at off-site events including a Phillies game, Flavors of Philly Tour and more!
Sam received his B.S. cum laude in chemical engineering from Purdue University where he was an engineering honors and chemical engineering peer mentor, a member of Tau Beta Pi (engineering honor society) and Phi Beta Kappa (liberal arts honor society). He is a currently a representative of Cornell’s IP & Technology Student Association at Cornell Law School where he is pursuing his J.D.
