The association strives to unite national breeder organizations, independent plant breeders, patent attorneys, and intellectual property consultants from around the globe, who work towards growing, enhancing, and synchronizing national and international protocols regarding plant variety protection. CIOPORA and AmericanHort advocated for the USPTO to accept electronic filings for plant patents.
