PHILADELPHIA (June 29, 2012) – Dennis Butler, Attorney at Panitch Schwarze Belisario and Nadel LLP, was elected to the Executive Committee of the Brehon Law Society, a legal organization comprised of attorneys, judges and law students of Irish descent. The Society provides a forum for educational, cultural and social activities concerning Irish heritage and tradition, while seeking to promote closer affiliations between the bench, the bar, students of law and the community, and to further a high standard of legal ethics.
Dennis Butler focuses his practice on intellectual property transactional, litigation and technology law, including representation before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign patent offices, counseling, technology licensing and intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, Mr. Butler was patent counsel at global medical device company Synthes, a structural engineer with Boeing Defense and Space Group, Helicopters Division and United Technologies – Pratt & Whitney. He received his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law where he was an editor for the Environmental Law and Technology Journal and won the TASA Prize for Outstanding Performance in the Field of Evidence.
