On June 19, the U.S. Patent Office issued its ten millionth patent, to Raytheon, just over three years after it issued the ninth millionth patent to WiperFill Holdings, LLC. It took 200 years for the total number of U.S. patents to reach 5 million.           Oracle v. Google: The World Series of IP Cases Oracle America, Inc. v. Google LLC has been dubbed "the World Series of IP cases" by one of the presiding judges. Others have referred to the dispute as the case that never ends. The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC), ruled in favor of Google earlier this spring, opining that Google had violated Oracle's copyrights.           Inter Partes Reviews – A Brief Primer, Recent Supreme Court Rulings, and the USPTO's Notice of Proposed Changes Inter partes reviews (IPRs) were enacted on Sept. 16, 2012, as part of the America Invents Act passed by Congress.
