PHILADELPHIA (February 20, 2015) – Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of the firm’s newest associate attorney, Bridget H. Labutta. Recognized for two consecutive years as a Rising Star in intellectual property in Pennsylvania, Ms. Labutta counsels emerging and established companies in trademark, copyright and domain name matters. She has extensive experience in resolving contested trademark and domain disputes, and in strategic counseling on trademarks, trade dress, domain names and internet advice for businesses, including due diligence in IP transfers and negotiating licenses. She also assists clients in litigation matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, domain name arbitration panels and in state and federal courts, and has experience blocking predatory domain registrations.

Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, Ms Labutta was an intellectual property associate at Eckert Seamans  Cherin & Mellott, LLC. Ms. Labutta received her B.A. from Saint Mary’s College and her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce). Before relocating to Philadelphia, she taught Trademark Law at two schools in Florida: Barry University Law School and Rollins College.
