IP and technology lawyer participates on panel for alma mater’s ‘Confronting Racism’ series

PHILADELPHIA (September 2020) – The intellectual property law firm Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is proud to announce that partner Jeffrey W. Gluck, Ph.D. participated on a panel for the “Confronting Racism” series, an event hosted by the Princeton University Class of 1982 on September 13.

The focus of the panel was a discussion of race inequalities in the delivery of healthcare through the use of artificial intelligence and other algorithms.

Gluck specializes in advanced electrical and computer-related technologies, but his practice includes other technologies, as well. He represents clients in a wide array of areas including patent counseling and opinions, licensing and transactions, interferences, patent prosecution and reissue, and reexaminations. He also helps with trial litigation and has been a lead attorney in appellate litigation.

Gluck has extensive experience, having worked as an engineer and researcher (including management), as a university professor and as a patent examiner, in addition to his experience as a patent agent and patent attorney. While focusing mainly on multi-user, digital, wireless and satellite communications, he has also worked in the areas of signal processing and control systems. A large part of his research centered on spread-spectrum/CDMA systems, including applications to cellular systems.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton and went on to receive a master’s degree from University of Massachusetts and a doctorate from the University of Maryland. He holds a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
