PHILADELPHIA (August 2018) – Panitch Schwarze partner Dr. Jeffrey W. Gluck co-authored a report that addresses the issue of patent quality in the context of standardization for the Standing Committee on Patents & Standards for the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
Committee members reviewed policies regarding cooperation between standards development organizations (SDOs) and patent and trademark offices (PTOs) around the world. They focused particularly on the sharing of information between standards organizations and patent examiners, including the availability to the examiners of standards-related documents.
