Position:           Trademark Associate Attorney (Part Time – 1,000 Billable Hours Per Year)

Location:         Remote, or Hybrid in Philadelphia, PA or Wilmington, DE

Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, a renowned intellectual property boutique, seeks to hire a highly qualified mid-level Trademark associate to join our Trademark Practice Team. This person should reside on the East Coast.

GENERAL SUMMARY             

The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years’ experience in managing U.S. and international trademark portfolios with specific experience in trademark clearance, prosecution, investigations, and routine enforcement. Successful candidates will have strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing skills, and be highly organized and detail oriented.

This is a part-time position, working flexible hours, 1,000 billable hours per year plus needed administrative hours. We expect this position to grow into full time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4 – 10 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management
• Passion for Business Development
• USPTO and TTAB experience
• IP transactional experience
• Superior academic record, excellent written and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities
• Highly motivated and results-oriented
• Thrives working independently and in a team environment
• Good standing in the bar(s) where licensed to practice law

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Trademark and copyright counseling, prosecution, and litigation (including litigation before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board)
• Domain name disputes (both in court and ICANN proceedings)
• Online Enforcement
• Licensing
• Global brand enforcement
