Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, a renowned domestic and international intellectual property boutique, seeks to hire a highly qualified Summer Associate to join our Mechanical patent practice team. Candidates should also have a keen interest in IP litigation.  The Summer Associate will work in our Wilmington, Delaware office.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, an intellectual property boutique firm specializing in all matters related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, litigation, and licensing, is seeking a 2025 Summer Associate.

This position is open to all qualified candidates who are in their first or second year at an ABA-accredited law school.

Summer Associates at Panitch Schwarze are given the opportunity to experience several different areas of Panitch Schwarze’s IP practices including intellectual property counseling and opinion work, patent prosecution, and intellectual property litigation-related matters. The Summer Associate Program is designed to provide training in the substantive and procedural aspects of the practice. Summer Associates have direct access to Partners, Associates, and Agents alike, and our attorneys will be responsible for ensuring the quality and variety of work, as well as timely and appropriate feedback. Summer Associates also have plenty of opportunities to socialize and get to know us through various in-person and virtual group events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
• 1L or 2L; strong interest in Intellectual Property Law
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
