Kevin Scanlon supports patent team in electrical, computer, and electronics sector

PHILADELPHIA (July 2024) – Intellectual property law firm Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is pleased to announce that Kevin Scanlon has joined the firm as a scientific advisor. Scanlon will support the firm’s patent procurement team members as they guide clients in the electrical, computer, and electronics space.

A current law student at Seton Hall University and an electrical engineer for the U.S. Navy, Scanlon understands the science driving technical innovation and appreciates the importance of securing protections for innovators’ valuable intellectual property. Kevin is an electrical engineer with particular experience in power generation and distribution, electrical insulation, and power monitoring. Scanlon has designed and built large-scale test sites, conducted a wide array of tests, written extensively, and presented engineering and research topics to audiences ranging from elementary school students to senior Pentagon officials.

Scanlon is pursuing his J.D. at Seton Hall Law while working as an engineer full-time and scientific advisor part-time. He received his B.S. with a concentration in digital signal processing and M.S. with a concentration in power systems, both from Drexel University.
