Position:         Intellectual Property Associate (Biological Science)           

Location:        Philadelphia, PA 19103 or Wilmington, DE 19803



The ideal candidate will have at 5+ years of patent prosecution experience, including but not limited to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, client counseling, opinion development and due diligence activities. Practical experience and an in-depth knowledge of a Biological Science is required. 



  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics or Microbiology

  • 4  years of research experience in one or more of molecular biology, genetics, cell biology and microbiology
  • 5+ years previous IP law experience

  • Superior academic record, excellent written and communication skills, strong attention to detail and strong analytical abilities

  • Highly motivated and results-oriented

  • Active USPTO Registration

  • Good standing in the bar(s) where licensed to practice law, and willing to sit for the Pennsylvania or Delaware bar if not already licensed in one of those states

  • Superior technical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and resolve conflicting workload assignments, and adapt to changing conditions
