Description:
Japanese Patent Attorney Kazu Kurusu will give a presentation on Japanese Patent Law and Prosecution. Lunch will be provided. CLE is being applied for but is not guaranteed.

Kazunori Kurusu is the owner of Kurusu Patent Law Office founded in 2000. His 16-year experience extends to patent protection for computer-software, numerical analyses, communication technology, mechanic and optical engineering and business methods as well as patent litigation and patent licensing. His experience also extends to international patent protection regarding matters in the U.S., the EPO, China and Korea.

Before entering the patent field, Mr. Kurusu worked for an automobile company as an engineer and designer. During this fiscal year, he is a member of two official working groups in the JPAA (Japan Patent Attorneys Association) for discussion with the Government and the JPO (Japan Patent Office) on the feasibility and required reform of the current Patent Scheme.
