As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division, and a registered patent attorney, Mr. Tecce currently focuses his practice primarily on intellectual property litigation. He has extensive federal court litigation and trial experience handling matters such as theft of trade secrets, antitrust, copyrights, trademarks, cyber-squatting, domain name misappropriation, idea misappropriation, and unfair competition.
Over the years Mr. Tecce has been involved in over ninety intellectual property matters calling upon his experience and training as an engineer; work for a patent licensing organization; clerkship for the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica, then of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and extensive federal court trial experience as a criminal Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. Tecce has successfully handled countless patent and intellectual property litigations both on behalf of intellectual property owners, and in defense of charges of infringement and misappropriation and has represented clients in industries such as consumer products and appliances, medical devices, juvenile products, building materials, cosmetics, aircraft manufacturing, telecommunications, artificial turf and other technologies.
In addition to his IP practice, over the years Mr. Tecce has handled significant criminal defense matters, including kidnapping and the killing of a federal witness, organized crime, bank robbery and false reporting cases involving the Federal Aviation Administration. He has also successfully represented parties through trial in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. A commercial pilot, Mr. Tecce has also successfully represented plaintiffs in a number of significant aviation accident cases. Mr. Tecce serves on the faculty at the National Institute For Trial Advocacy (NITA) teaching trial advocacy at NITA's national seminars. He is often called upon to comment on various matters and has appeared over 300 times on various networks such as The Fox News Network, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and NBC's The Today Show.
