John L. Hemmer is a registered patent attorney who focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign patent offices, as well as new product clearance, due diligence and patentability analyses.  Mr. Hemmer concentrates primarily on the mechanical arts including medical devices, integrated solar roofing systems, image forming apparatuses, small appliances and toys.

Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, Mr. Hemmer was an Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Mr. Hemmer received his B.S. magna cum laude in mechanical engineering from the Schreyer's Honors College at the Pennsylvania State University.  He received his J.D. from Temple University's Beasley School of Law, where he was an associate editor of the Temple Journal of Science Technology and Environmental Law and a member of the Intellectual Property Moot Court team.

Mr. Hemmer is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of PA and the District of N.J.
