Christina D. Frangiosa concentrates her practice on trademark application prosecution, related litigation, opposition/cancellation proceedings filed before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board and domain name disputes, as well as copyright and trade secret matters.
Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, Ms. Frangiosa was a senior litigation associate with Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP where she focused on trademark and copyright matters, complex commercial litigation, and other
matters involving technology, trade secrets, computers and the Internet.
Ms. Frangiosa graduated from The American University/School of International Service with a B.A. in International Affairs/Russian Area Studies in 1990. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Temple University School of Law in 1997, where she was Executive Editor of Temple Law Review. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the Courts of Appeal for the Federal Circuit and Third Circuit.
Ms. Frangiosa is a member of various bar associations, and serves on several subcommittees of the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law (”IPL”) Section relating to copyrights and trademarks, domain names, Internet security, and USPTO affairs. Ms. Frangiosa serves as Vice-Chair of the Federal Trademark Legislation Committee (Committee 201) of the American Bar Association's IPL Section and as Co-Chair of the Women in IP Subcommittee of the
Philadelphia Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Committee.
Ms. Frangiosa recently spoke about ethics in trademark application prosecution practices at the American Bar Association’s IPL Section Meeting in April 2010 during a session entitled, “Patent and Trademark Prosecution Ethics: Shifting Sands or New Directions?” and about the “Top 10 Ways to Preserve Your Trademarks” at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s IP Institute, also in April 2010. In March 2009, she participated in a panel discussion on the topic of “Trademark Practitioners Tackle Tough Trademark Litigation Issues” during last year’s PBI IP Institute.
