Mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate

Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, LLP is an intellectual property boutique law firm which was officially established on January 1, 2008. Although the name is new, a common thread connects our team of intellectual property professionals, most of whom have practiced together for decades, including 18 years with the former Panitch Schwarze Jacobs & Nadel firm, and more recently, 8 years with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants in IP disputes throughout the country. We also represent clients in patent and trademark challenges before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and domain name challenges before ICANN.

Panitch Schwarze is in search of a mid-level associate (5-8 years experience) in its intellectual property litigation group. Applicant should have experience in all aspects of litigation from due diligence through trial including filing complaints, discovery requests and responses, e-discovery, taking and defending depositions, brief writing, arguing motions, pre-trial orders, and motions in limine. The ideal candidate will have argued claim construction, summary judgment, and motions in limine and will have participated on a trial team for a patent trial.

Panitch Schwarze offers a collegial atmosphere made up of a team having extensive experience across all areas of science, with specialized degrees in areas such as electrical engineering, computer software, mechanical and chemical engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, and physics. We are looking for candidates with outstanding academic credentials and superb written and oral communications skills to join our growing team of professionals.
